Pansat 6000 PVR to DVD
Once you create the mpeg file with VideoRedo,
1) Re-encode the mpeg file to a compatible dvd format. I use TMPGEnc free version. I use max quality settings which will take much more time to encode. This process will take a longest time if you want to keep the quality of your movie/show. I leave mine running and then go to sleep and it will be done in the morning
2) I use a dvd authoring software such as "DVDLab" and just import and demultiplex (separate audio/video components) the mpeg file you created from TMPGEnc.
3) Once that is done, I re-write the GOP timecode (tool inside dvdLab) for the video file (which will eliminate any stutters/jumps relating to GOP timecode showing up in the standalone dvd player) Run the "Full Process" to correct errors.
4) Create a new "Simple Movie" template in dvdLab. Drag and drop the video file into the movie clip window and do the same with the audio. You can also create menus and stuff if you want like scene selection menus but that will take a little longer if you are not familiar with the software.
5) [optional] I use the "Auto-chapters" feature to make random chapter points throughout the movie. Or choose your own chapter points in your clip by pressing the "+" button on the movie timeline.
6) Compile the movie!! This takes my machine about 7 minutes to run. This will create the Video_ts and Audio_ts folders for you in your specified location.
7) Open Nero and start a new DVD project. Find your compiled files from dvdLab and drag/drop into Nero. Now burn DVD and you should have a 100% working DVD disc!! (granted your pvr/mpeg clip wasn't screwed up somehow).
This has worked for me every single time I've done it. My DVD's work in all players I have tried. Several of my players advertise no support for DVD-R discs but these play flawlessly I use Ritek DVD-R G04 and G08 single layer discs.
This is a time consuming process but it is very effective and you will produce quality dvd's. You can shave some time on the encoding process if you aren't too concerned with image quality but I wouldn't recommend it.
Hope this helps.
Another 'easy' solution to put yoru PVR videos to DVD : Just play your file and record your video and audio signals using an external DVD Recorder. They go for less than $100 those days. It is simple quick and easy and quality is great ...
