Tronics Fortec, Pansat2500, Pansat 2700 loader for linux version 0.23
Hello all,
NOTE: I had to wrap the gzipped tarball in a .zip file because this site won't accept .tar.gz files so you will have to unzip the file first then follow the instructions below.
I made some updates to the initial release. Please use this latest version. This version has been tested and works even with usb->serial devices.
On my machine usb->serial device was at /dev/ttyUSB0 your system may differ
to find out the device name for your system just plug in your usb->serial device,
open a shell and type the following at the prompt:
dmesg | grep USB
then look for the line that begins with /dev/
I have used this version to successfully convert from b-75 to PUFF1_01 and then to subsequently load the latest bin 261 (using Ukronic's files). Everything works great. If using the loader to send the convert file which is larger than 448KB the loader will warn you that the file may not be correct, just say 'y' to force it.
New version also adds -Wall and -O2 to compile string, fixes a spelling mistake in the man page, and changes the man page install location to /usr/local/man/man1
from /usr/share/man/man1
Same instructions to install this version as last and Makefile will remove the old man page if it is found so dont worry. Just download new tarball and type the following:
1) tar -xvvzf tronicsLoader0v23.tar.gz
2) cd tronicsLoader
3) sudo make install (or just become root and type make install)
If you dont want to install then just type make
4) if you installed then type 'make clean'
5) done! instructions can be read by typing 'man tronicsLoader' if you installed the program or passing -h command line option otherwise.
Best Regards,
Tronics.
